CHARACTER PARTICIPATION JOURNAL

Sat Jun 6, 2009, 8:49 PM
Welcome to the DA Fighters character sign-up! This is only for those who are interested in the game and want their character to be part of the game's character roster. Before you can submit in a character, please read the following guidelines listed below.

----

SIMPLE GUIDELINES:

- Only one character per submitting. No more than that.

- I want to see some originality to your character. No recolors or edits of existing anime/manga or video game characters.

- If you have a character that represents yourself, then that's fine, too.

- You must give me the character's name with a reference of your character's appearance.

- Along with submitting your character entry, you must give two punch moves (weak and strong), two kick moves (weak and strong), about three special moves, and one ultimate move. Please be very descriptive on how you would like the animation to look like while the character is performing those moves. Do the same for the punch and kick modes, but also tell how the attacks should be animated in crouching position, mid-air, and normally. But if you want to make it easier for yourself, then just draw it out and send it to me via notes.

- Also describe to me the character's stance, walking, jumping/falling, hurt, winning pose (at most 2), and introductory (at most 2) animations. You can draw those out, too, if you want to save time.

- Be creative when creating your moves.

-----

The maximum amount of character I need is between 19 (includes my character, DA fella mascot, the three holy admins). So be quick about it, I guess.

CHARACTERS:

Stixdude (default)
dA Fella (default)
Jark (default)
Spyed (default)
Matteo (default)

MooBeard (=tvskyle)
Gigi Demoa (~GigiLeChesire)
Deets (*zeroxtb)
Stickman Dan (*Noland005)
Press Start (~kenshinmeowth)
Rolas + Cloverz (~SolarKnight)
Victoria (~Mimisaurus)
Knick (~Knickolaus)
Red Fox (*Hitlersbrain)
Littlink (~Littlink)
Silver Ninja (*SilverKazeNinja)
Doggy (~Doodley)

Inkman (~InkMan7)

The roster is completely full, so I won't be accepting any more entries. Later this week, a new journal will be created for anybody who are interested in helping me out with graphics, programming, ideas, etc. Only people who are experience with MMF2 can help me out with the programming part. Another thing I will discuss about is some of my ideas for the engine, intro, etc.

Anyways, congrats to those who made it in and hopefully the project will be complete soon.

I still plan to work on the game, just haven't done much since the last time I've talked about the project.

I'm too focus with high school at the moment since this is my last year and getting into the college of my dream. Also, I guess I'm losing interest in working on it... >_>

But I won't let that get in the way...
:icondoodley:
Shame.
But, I can relate to that.

Is making a fighting game really hard in the program you were using? I have ideas on games I'd love to make.

Anyhoo, good luck in your last year of high school and getting into the college you desire!

While programming the basic elements of the fighting engine isn't very hard for me to do, having to program each and every fighter's moveset is a completely different story.

But once I get that out of the way, then everything else will be a piece of cake to program, and my only concern I'll have to worry about is the graphics.

Thank you, by the way. :^D
